Born in 1977, the Dutch mezzo-soprano Christianne Stotjin studied the violin at the Amsterdam Conservatorium where she was awarded the Prix d’Excellence in 2000. Since 1997 she has also studied singing with Udo Reinemann at the Amsterdam Conservatorium and at Metz. With a number of prizes to her credit, she has participated in concert and festival performances in Europe and in the United States, with a repertoire that has included a number of oratorios, Lieder, and operatic rôles.
