Lenneke Ruiten

By now Dutch soprano Lenneke Ruiten is familiar with many international stages. Since winning the International Vocal Competition in ’s-Hertogenbosch in 2002, she has seen her career rise steadily. She has worked with orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic, the English Baroque Soloists, the Monteverdi Choir, Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Tonhalle Orchester Zürich, Dresdener Staatskapelle and the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra with conductors including John Eliot Gardiner, Christian Thielemann, Marek Janowski, Helmut Rilling, Frans Brüggen, Ton Koopman, Robert King and Christian Zacharias at festivals including the Salzburger Festspiele, BBC Proms, Bachfest Leipzig, Prague Spring Festival, Lucerne Festival and Holland Festival.

She has also been invited to sing at opera houses including those of Salzburg, Paris, Baden-Baden, Stuttgart, Sankt Gallen and Lausanne for fine roles such as Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos), Konstanze (Die Entführung), Pamina (Magic Flute), Susanna (Marriage of Figaro), Almirena (Rinaldo) and Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte).
