The psalms were recited and sung in the homes, in the synagogues and, not least, in the Temple of Jerusalem at the great festivals.\r\n\r\nThe Christian church appropriated the Book of Psalms; its significance is precious. Seldom has the agony and assurance of the soul been expressed more truly and profoundly. The features of the Saviour emerging ever clearer.
