It is a \u003cstrong\u003eMonophonic Recording\u003c\/strong\u003e remastered by \u003cstrong\u003e2xHD\u003c\/strong\u003e. \u003cstrong\u003eExclusively available in DSD 512 at NativeDSD.  \u003c\/strong\u003e\r\n\r\nThis set brings together a collection of recordings of Green captured at the ORTF studios in Paris on October 26, 1969 with bassist \u003cstrong\u003eLarry Ridley\u003c\/strong\u003e and drummer \u003cstrong\u003eDon Lamond\u003c\/strong\u003e, also including jazz guitar legend \u003cstrong\u003eBarney Kessel\u003c\/strong\u003e comping behind Green on the beautiful “I Wish You Love.”\r\n\r\nPlus full concert recordings from June 18 and 20, 1970 at the Antibes Jazz Festival featuring saxophonist \u003cstrong\u003eClaude Bartee\u003c\/strong\u003e and organist \u003cstrong\u003eClarence Palmer\u003c\/strong\u003e, who both played on Green’s classic 1969 Blue Note album Carryin’ On, and drummer \u003cstrong\u003eBilly Wilson\u003c\/strong\u003e.\r\n\r\nThe ORTF studio session was taped for a radio broadcast produced by legendary French producer André Francis, and the Antibes recording was taped less than a month before Green’s first live release Alive! on Blue Note Records. Both performances showcase Green’s early transition to a heavier, funkier sound as he entered the 1970s.
