Bach: Dritter Theil der Clavier Übung [Vol. 2]","description":"According to his first biographer Johann Nikolaus Forkel, Bach possessed an extraordinary ability to combine organ stops in a wholly unusual manner, astonishing the organists and organ builders of his time. However, very few accounts survive of how he actually made these timbral choices. A valuable source of information is the Harmonische Seelenlust by Georg Friedrich Kauffmann (1733–36), a large collection of chorale preludes that displays striking points of contact with the third part of the Clavier-Übung (1739) — to the point of appearing almost as a model for it — and includes registrations so original and bold as to recall the style described by Forkel.\r\n\r\nHaving already distinguished himself with the award-winning Bach Mirrored (Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik), organist Maurizio Croci draws on the timbral resources of the historic Treutmann organ at Grauhof (1737) to offer us a fresh reading of Bach's masterpiece which, taking inspiration from Kauffmann's registrations, places registration at the centre of expressive interpretation and proposes a renewed listening perspective.\r\n\r\nMaurizio Croci","brand":"Arcana","offers":[{"title":"DSD 512 \/ 2ch Stereo","offer_id":57299970687300,"sku":"A5972-21","price":35.99,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true},{"title":"DSD 256 \/ 2ch Stereo","offer_id":57299970720068,"sku":"A5972-16","price":29.99,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true},{"title":"WAV 192 kHz \/ 2ch Stereo","offer_id":57299970752836,"sku":"A5972-3","price":23.99,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true},{"title":"DSD 128 \/ 2ch Stereo","offer_id":57299970785604,"sku":"A5972-15","price":25.99,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true},{"title":"FLAC 96 kHz \/ 2ch Stereo","offer_id":57299970818372,"sku":"A5972-7","price":19.99,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true},{"title":"DSD 64 \/ 2ch Stereo","offer_id":57299970851140,"sku":"A5972-14","price":23.99,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true},{"title":"DXD 24 Bit \/ 2ch Stereo","offer_id":57346393276740,"sku":"A5972-22","price":25.99,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0966\/7900\/2436\/files\/A597-1.jpg?v=1790715060","url":"https:\/\/www.nativedsd.com\/products\/a5972-j-s-bach-dritter-theil-der-clavier-ubung-vol-2","provider":"NativeDSD Music","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
