With songs you know and love performed by some of our favorite musicians we've had the pleasure of recording on Octave, this Covers Collection is one that you will find yourself pulling off the shelf over and over. Recorded in \u003cstrong\u003eStereo Pure DSD 256\u003c\/strong\u003e by Paul McGowan.\r\n\r\nOn \u003cem\u003eAudiophile Masters, Volume XI: Covers Collection 2,\u003c\/em\u003e the musical flavors range from jazz and swing to Sixties and Seventies songwriting. Like the first volume in the series, the sound quality is warm, intimate, and spacious, thanks to Octave Records’ Pure DSD 256 recording process and the Gefell M90 and Neumann U67 microphones used in the studio, and the use of mostly acoustic instruments.\r\n\r\n\u003cem\u003eAudiophile Masters, Volume XI: Covers Collection 2\u003c\/em\u003e was recorded using Octave’s Pyramix-based Pure DSD 256 system from Merging Technologies. It was recorded, mixed, and produced by Paul McGowan and Jessica Carson, with Terri McGowan assisting. The album was mastered by Gus Skinas.\r\n\r\nAudiophile Masters Volume XI picks up where we left off with \u003cstrong\u003eVolume X\u003c\/strong\u003e and starts with two great jazz standards performed by \u003cstrong\u003eAlicia Straka: \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cem\u003eCheek to Cheek\u003c\/em\u003e and \u003cem\u003eIt Don't Mean a Thing\u003c\/em\u003e. \u003cstrong\u003eKatie Mintle's\u003c\/strong\u003e vocals soar on \u003cstrong\u003ePaul McCartney's \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cem\u003eBlackbird\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eDylan's \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cem\u003eDon't Think Twice\u003c\/em\u003e and\u003cstrong\u003e Joni Mitchell's \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cem\u003eCase of You\u003c\/em\u003e.\r\n\r\n\u003cstrong\u003eJeremy Mohney's\u003c\/strong\u003e quintet throws in some swing with a great lineup of classics, \u003cem\u003eAll of Me, Sweet Georgia Brown, There Will Never Be Another You and I'll See You in My Dreams\u003c\/em\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eRebecca Folsom\u003c\/strong\u003e makes her Octave debut with \u003cstrong\u003eJoni Mitchell's \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cem\u003eWoodstock\u003c\/em\u003e.
