In 2013, Willem-Alexander and Máxima became the King and Queen of the Netherlands.\r\n\r\nThis album features all the music played during the Royal Wedding of Prince Willem Alexander and Princess Máxima on February 2, 2002 in Amsterdam. Listening to the music of Bach, Handel, Mozart, Schubert, and many others brings back memories of that glorious day.\r\n\r\nIt includes a new arrangement of Piazzola’s famous tango “Adios Nonino” for Chamber Orchestra, Choir, and Bandoneon. Carel Kraayenhof’s stunning performance of Adiós Nonino’ on bandoneon (see video below) was the reason for Princess Máxima’s memorable tears.\r\n\r\nBack in 2002, the album was released as a Surround Sound Super Audio CD (SACD) and the SACD sold over 75.000 copies (triple platinum) in the Netherlands shortly after the wedding. A unique achievement for a classical release.  The album is out of print on SACD but is now available as a Stereo DSD 64 music download at NativeDSD Music.\r\n\r\nBernard Winsemius, Organ\r\nBoudewijn Zwart, Organ\r\nCarel Kraayenhof, Bandoneon\r\nMiranda van Kralingen, Soprano\r\nMokum Zingt, Netherlands Chamber Choir\r\nEd Spanjaard, Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra\r\n\r\nhttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=b-6QCKKa9uw","brand":"Pentatone","offers":[{"title":"DSD 64 \/ 5ch Surround","offer_id":56739418865988,"sku":"PTC5186262-17","price":23.99,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true},{"title":"FLAC 192 kHz \/ 2ch Stereo","offer_id":56739418898756,"sku":"PTC5186262-6","price":20.99,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true},{"title":"FLAC 96 kHz \/ 2ch Stereo","offer_id":56739418931524,"sku":"PTC5186262-7","price":19.99,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true},{"title":"FLAC 192 kHz \/ 5ch Surround","offer_id":56739418964292,"sku":"PTC5186262-9","price":20.99,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true},{"title":"FLAC 96 kHz \/ 5ch Surround","offer_id":56739418997060,"sku":"PTC5186262-10","price":19.99,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true},{"title":"DSD 64 \/ 2ch Stereo","offer_id":57311054364996,"sku":"PTC5186262-14","price":23.99,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true},{"title":"DSD 64 \/ 2ch Stereo \u0026 5ch Surround","offer_id":57338557235524,"sku":"PTC5186262S1417","price":24.49,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0966\/7900\/2436\/files\/PTC5186262.jpg?v=1790542001","url":"https:\/\/www.nativedsd.com\/products\/ptc5186262-willem-alexander-and-maxima-music-from-the-royal-wedding","provider":"NativeDSD Music","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
