Here is an overview of the DSD 1024 music available for download at NativeDSD.com. NativeDSD is the only store to offer music in DSD 1024 and DSD 512.

DSD 1024 runs at 45.2 MHz, sixteen times the rate of standard DSD 64. At this rate, the noise that DSD pushes above the audible range is moved even further away from the music, so your DAC needs far less filtering to reproduce it. Many listeners hear this as greater openness, air and natural decay.

Each DSD 1024 and DSD 512 edition is created by Grammy® Award-winning mastering engineer Tom Caulfield, working from the original label master. A higher rate does not add musical information that wasn't in the recording, but it allows a capable DAC to play that information back with less processing of its own.

To play DSD 1024 you need a DAC and playback software that support this rate. Not sure whether yours does? Check which DSD rates your DAC accepts.
