Here is an overview of the DSD 512 music available for download at NativeDSD.com. NativeDSD is the only store to offer music in DSD 512 and DSD 1024.

DSD 512 runs at 22.6 MHz, eight times the rate of standard DSD 64. At this rate, the noise that DSD pushes above the audible range sits far away from the music, so your DAC needs much less filtering to reproduce it. Listeners often describe the result as more spacious and relaxed, with a natural sense of air and decay.

DSD 512 editions are reserved for selected releases, primarily Pure DSD recordings that were captured and mastered without any PCM processing. Each one is created by Grammy® Award-winning mastering engineer Tom Caulfield, working from the original label master. A higher rate does not add musical information that wasn't in the recording, but it allows a capable DAC to play that information back with less processing of its own.

To play DSD 512 you need a DAC and playback software that support this rate. Not sure whether yours does? Check which DSD rates your DAC accepts.
