Puccini: Capriccio Sinfonico is a DSD EP featuring the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Antonio Pappano.

From Renaissance Venice to the streets of post-war Rome, Sir Antonio Pappano loves to explore the passion, the melody and the sun-kissed colors of an Italy we almost never hear.

There’s more to Italian music than just opera, and on this digital EP, Pappano presents Puccini’s Capriccio Sinfonico, a work which showcases the soaring imagination of a young composer in the dawning days of his career. Recorded live at the Barbican in June 2022,

Pappano says: “The piece captivated the orchestra. Their energy, their curiosity, their sense of ensemble and their dynamism when they play for an audience is just something very, very special.”
