Maria and Maria is a Stereo Pure DSD recording from Seigen Ono and Saidera Records. Recorded Live Direct to Stereo DSD 64 in 2000, Seigen Ono reassembled many of the players from his seminal Comme des Garçon sessions for all new compositions. The players on this album include John Zorn, Marc Ribot, Joey Baron and Peter Scherer.

Songs move in and out of moody chamber pieces (Maria 3), Bossa Nova tinge (She Is She) and Blues (Maria 8).

The result is one of Seigen Ono’s more accessible studio recordings with a number of tunes that have become a staple of his live performances.
