Founded in 2011 by artistic director Matthew Guard, Skylark creates projects that draw deliberate connections between music, literature, history, architecture, and place. Rigorous in thought and direct in feeling, these programs on This Is Skylark move fluidly across centuries of repertoire while maintaining a distinctive artistic point of view. In May, the ensemble releases This is Skylark, a curated collection of virtuosic a cappella gems that showcases the ensemble’s stylistic range and signature emotional clarity.
