Skylark Vocal Ensemble presents This Land: American Hymns & Folksongs, a vivid portrait of the group's musical roots. Spanning folk hymns, spirituals, bluegrass, Civil War songs, and works by William Billings and William Bradbury, the album traces a broad and resonant soundscape of American sacred and vernacular traditions. At its heart is a World‑Premiere Recording of a newly-commissioned arrangement of “America the Beautiful” by Matthew Guard and Benedict Sheehan, offering a fresh and compelling perspective on one of the nation's most enduring melodies. Skylark Vocal Ensemble Matthew Guard, Artistic Director
