In the 2024-25 academic year, Eszterházy Károly Catholic University (EKCU) celebrated its 250th anniversary. The university’s Music Institute and its legal predecessor were established 75 years ago.
This Pure DSD 256 recording was made to commemorate these anniversaries, featuring two piano trios recorded by the EKCU Music Institute’s professors, Bence Asztalos, Dávid Báll, and Péter Szabó. The recording features Maurice Ravel’s Trio in A minor, an emblematic piece of piano chamber music, as well as Emánuel Moór’s Trio in C major, Op. 81.
