Atmosfere [DSD EP] [Pure DSD]

Pure DSD 128 - Analog Mixed | Read More Atmosfere is the debut release from Direct Sound Records — a label devoted to presenting acoustic music with purity, dimensionality, and emotional impact. Performed by the Ferraguto Fortunato Duo — Marco Ferraguto (flute) and Salvatore Fortunato (guitar) — the album explores the lyrical worlds of Astor Piazzolla and Ennio Morricone. The program includes a medley of Morricone’s most evocative themes (Cinema Paradiso, Gabriel’s Oboe, The Legend of 1900) alongside Piazzolla’s Histoire du Tango and Concert d’aujourd’hui. Recorded in March 2024 at the Cappella Universitaria S. Tommaso d'Aquino in Rome, the music was captured in Pure DSD 128 to preserve the intimacy and nuance of the performance. The natural acoustic setting offers a soundstage that breathes, inviting listeners into a space of presence and lyrical storytelling. Atmosfere marks the beginning of a catalogue shaped by clarity, musical sensitivity, and the pursuit of unfiltered beauty in sound.
