From The Heart is more than just an album — it’s a deeply personal journey. It reflects not only lived experience, but also a profound connection to and understanding of the timeless repertoire from the American Songbook. There’s a right time for everything. For singer Ronald Douglas and pianist Rob van Bavel, life had to take its course — each following their own path, chasing dreams and careers, weathering heartbreaks, and, in Ronald’s case, even undergoing heart surgery. All of it led them to this moment — where their voices, stories, and artistry come together in perfect harmony with the songs they perform. The original Stereo DXD recording (24 bit, 352.8 kHz) was Analog mixed and mastered through an HQ Analog Stereo chain to 32 bit PCM768 kHz.
