It is a One Microphone Recording using a single AEA R88 Stereo Ribbon microphone. The album from Hunnia Records is a swinging tribute to the upbeat Jazz music of the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s written by Milhaly Eisemann. The new DSD album enters our Top 10 DSD Best Sellers list after just one day after its release. The album is a Pure DSD Release exclusively available in the recorded Pure DSD 256 format and bit rate from NativeDSD.  It is available in Stereo DSD 512, DSD 256, DSD 128, and DSD 64. The DSD 64, DSD 128, and DSD 512 editions of the album were created by NativeDSD Mastering Engineer Tom Caulfield using Signalyst’s HQ Player Pro 4 Mastering Software. PapaJazz recaptures this era by playing vintage instruments which contribute to the sound of the band. Percussion on the album features a set of vintage drums made and played by Balazs Cesh after he studied the drums used in the music of the 1920s. The trumpet and all the saxophones heard on the album are from the first half of the 20th Century. Of special note is the C Melody Saxophone, which is located between the Tenor Saxophone and the Alto Saxophone in the sonic spectrum. Production of the C Melody Saxophone ended in the early 1930s. Even so, PapaJazz features two C Melody Saxophones on this DSD 256 recording! Hunnia Records provides some notes about this DSD 256 release: "Undoubtedly, the first half of the 20th century was the golden age of Hungarian music, as countless songs, couplets, operettas and film scores were written during this period, and quite a few excellent lyricists and composers were active in Hungary at that time. The most significant of them was Mihály Eisemann, who is also considered one of the founding fathers of the Hungarian operetta and the adopter of the more modern, jazzy sound. After his father, a cantor teacher, taught him to play the piano from the age of 6, he graduated from the Academy of Music under the guidance of Zoltán Kodály, Albert Siklós, and Leó Weiner, simultaneously pursuing his studies in law and earning critical acclaim as a bar pianist and later as a composer. PapaJazz, a jazz quintet that plays traditional jazz, is now delighted to go along this line, collecting the most original and catchy Eisemann melodies, evoking the timeless sound of the 1930s and 40s which they have sought so far, especially when performing their American repertoire."
