A living legend in the Spanish piano scene, Josep Colom presents Mozart Piano Sonatas in a fresh and innovative way on this album. He intersperses the pieces with his own interludes, which play with motifs, anticipate themes, and introduce new ornamentation, evoking the spirit of improvisation from Mozart's time. This is Josep Colom's 8th album at NativeDSD from Eudora Records. This collection features four of the Austrian composer’s piano sonatas as you’ve never heard them before. From the counterpoint-rich D Major Sonata, K. 576, to the dramatic C Minor Sonata, K. 457, and including the delightful B-flat Major Sonata, K. 333, as well as the "easy" C Major Sonata, K. 545, Colom reaches new artistic heights in this captivating interpretation of Mozart’s masterpieces.
