Cloud Song [One Microphone Recording]

Cloud Song is a One Microphone Recording that features Suzan Veneman and the Undercurrent Trio. The album celebrates the essence of existence itself. From the delicate flutter of a damselfly in the reeds to the serene glide of a gadwall in the water, from the melodious chirp of a wren amidst low vegetation to the graceful flight of Spoonbills overhead, and the sun's elongated shadows on a balmy summer evening.  Through its kaleidoscopic lens the album prompts us to pause, reflect, and appreciate the myriad wonders of the natural world, urging us to safeguard the fragile harmony that nurtures life on our planet. The unique combination of instruments brings the composition's heartfelt melodies, strong rhythms, and spontaneous creativity to life through expressive freedom and lively interplay. At the same time, the effective use of musical space makes for a captivating listening experience. "The music on Cloud Song is closely related to the strong friendship with two of my favorite musicians of all times: Guillermo ‘Rusty’ Celano and Marcos ‘The Marx’ Baggiani. I’ve been creating music with Guillermo and Marcos for many years now and it continues to be magical. Letting Suzan Veneman contribute her flawless playing, innovative musical concepts, and stunning improvisations to the trio's sound truly breathed new life into everything. She is a joy to work with and I hope to prolong this musical friendship for many years to come."
