Ars Sonora

Ars Sonora (Latin for “art of sound”) is a Łódź-based recording studio and record label founded in 2007, specialising exclusively in classical music. What sets the company apart is that its entire team consists of trained, actively performing musicians — bringing not just technical expertise but genuine musical understanding to every session. Recording classical music demands different equipment, microphone techniques, and editing tools than popular music, and Ars Sonora’s musician-engineers bring a developed ear, knowledge of harmony and instrumentation, and the ability to read scores fluently to every project.

The label records both in its own acoustically adapted studio and on-site in concert halls, churches, and philharmonic halls across Europe, in stereo and multi-channel surround formats including 5.1. With over 200 major recording sessions completed and nearly 100 releases, Ars Sonora’s work has appeared on leading labels such as Acte Prealable and Dux, and has been broadcast on Polish Radio and TVP. Their recordings have consistently drawn praise for their exceptional sound quality.
