Believin It’ features singer Claire Martin and her trio as she celebrates another career milestone. Making their UK debut at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club.

The album encompasses a Century’s worth of classic tunes, tracks include ‘Broken Wings’ by Mr. Mister and ‘I’m Not in Love’ by 10cc. Plus favorites by Joe Locke, Joni Mitchell, Ivan Lins and Pat Metheny. Martin remembers legendary singer Lena Horne with her own arrangement of ‘Come Runnin’’ and pays tribute to Norway’s Karin Krog with ‘Cherry Tree Song’.

The album is Exclusively Available at NativeDSD in Stereo DSD 512, DSD 256, DSD 64 and DXD.

Martin and her trio have played to sell-out audiences in Sweden, London and Madrid. Martin’s fascination with Sweden’s vibrant Jazz scene began a decade ago, and via a shared love of songs she has cultivated a unique chemistry with her trio over the past two years.

Uppsala-born pianist/arranger Martin Sjöstedt leads the trio comprising bassist Niklas Fernqvist and drummer Daniel Fredriksson. Sjöstedt, one of Sweden’s most gifted and talked about Jazz musicians, has created imaginative new arrangements of contemporary material exclusively for Martin.

Press reviews

Jazzwise Magazine

A towering success. An album that unfailingly touches the heart and lifts the soul.

Jazz Views

A delight from start to finish. Claire Martin shines on each and every number. In what is undoubtedly one of the best vocal albums this year.

I cannot shake the feeling that Claire Martin has not yet peaked.

Jazz Times

There are few, if any, finer Jazz singers than Claire Martin. She’s certainly the best the U.K. has produced, with her cunning mix of straight-ahead purity and interpretive legerdemain.
