A 14-song cycle — all first recordings — with music by Italian-British composer-guitarist Giacomo Susani and texts by poet and physician Chinwe D. John, performed by countertenors Alexander Chance and Tim Mead, tenor Daniel Norman, Susani on guitar, and John as narrator. The work moves through a vivid landscape of contemporary themes: political hypocrisy, family trauma, faith, escapism, mortality, and the quiet joys of simply being human. The intimate scoring for guitar and voices creates what Susani describes as an operatic world in miniature — fanciful yet rooted in real life.
Giacomo Susani – composer, guitar
Chinwe D. John – texts, narrator
Alexander Chance – countertenor
