Performed by the Ferraguto Fortunato Duo — Marco Ferraguto (flute) and Salvatore Fortunato (guitar) — the album explores the lyrical worlds of Astor Piazzolla and Ennio Morricone. The program includes a medley of Morricone’s most evocative themes (Cinema Paradiso, Gabriel’s Oboe, The Legend of 1900) alongside Piazzolla’s Histoire du Tango and Concert d’aujourd’hui.
Recorded in March 2024 at the Cappella Universitaria S. Tommaso d’Aquino in Rome, the music was captured in high-resolution DSD 128 to preserve the intimacy and nuance of the performance.
