Pierpaolo Guerrini a collaborator of Andrea Bocelli since his debut, celebrates over 30 years of career with the album Friends. The album is the first one released under his own name. Full of collaborations of the highest international level with names of Hauser’s caliber: Stephan Moccio, Andrea Griminelli, Alessandro Martire, Stefano Cocco Cantini and CARisMA, and a special featuring with Andrea Bocelli.
It is a concentration of compositions that range between various musical genres with instrumental pieces featuring friends with whom Pierpaolo has collaborated directly and indirectly during his career. An album that welcomes, amplifies and brings together different sensitivities, experiences, professionalism and styles. A journey full of melodic themes written by Pierpaolo, a compositional world that he has carried with him for more than 30 years, developed between friendship and mutual esteem between the protagonists, the desire to exchange ideas, tastes, views and musical techniques and lasting bonds that have given life over time to something that is now called “FRIENDS”.
Each processing phase had a meticulous process, starting from the recording with the band (Fabrizio Morganti drums, Lorenzo Forti bass, Marco Baracchino and Antonello Pudva guitars) in the studio up to a large string orchestra, the CNSO Prague Orchestra directed by Steven Mercurii, to create original electronic sounds, with synths and mostly completely analog outboards. The recording and mixing process respects a classic procedure as much as possible, starting from the effects used up to more modern processing choices. The album contains eleven tracks including Unity machine (feat. Alessandro Martire), Variable timing (feat. Andrea Griminelli), Andromeda’s sky (feat. CARisMAGuitar Duo), The fifth line(feat. Andrea Bocelli) etc….
The mastering for the vinyl was realized by Giulio Cesare Ricci using his analog and tube system. The master was created with Ampex ATR 102 (Electronic Tube Ampex Model 351-1965), 2 tracks, 1/2 inch, 30ips. modified by David Manley.
