Gratitudeis the powerful new release from world renowned guitarist Steve Mullins and his ensemble Rim of the Well. Drawing from flamenco traditions while blending Balkan, African, and Latin influences, Mullins crafts music that is both soulful and electrifying. The album opens with the fiery Insurrection Tangos, written as history unfolded on January 6th, and moves through luminous originals like the title track Gratitude and Possibility of Orchids, to heartfelt tributes including Ruben and the Rain and Claudia’s Wings. Traditional works such as Barrios’ Las Abejas and the Mexican classic La Llarona are transformed through a distinctive flamenco lens.
