Georgi Dimitrov-Jojo is an award-winning classical guitarist – first European Bach Guitar Award in 2022, holder of The Musicians’ Company New Elizabethan Award – who enjoys a busy solo career. In his debut recording for Linn, Tales of Being, he boldly pairs two composers who lived nearly four centuries apart. John Dowland’s melancholy and feeling of loneliness are echoed by Hans Werner Henze’s musical portraits of Shakespearean characters which dive into the human condition: sorrow, suffering, hope, love.
