The theremin is entering the second century of its history as a free voice open to both classic and contemporary music, as well as to any music genres, from pop to folk. This album showcases an ensemble improvisation involving several theremins is a breath-taking process which requires from thereminists both careful technical preparation and a special state of mind – relaxed and extremely sensitive.
While recording Triple Reflection the participants had not made any prior arrangements, they had not outlined the musical form, nor had they discussed any specific techniques. The entire process of recording became an unpredictable flow of the “water of life” which contained allusions to several layers of humanity’s musical culture.
