Bach Concerti with Marcin Swiatkiewicz

Channel Classics was In The DSD Studio in Poland recently with harpsichordist Marcin Swiatkiewicz to record Bach Concerti. The session was produced and engineered by Channel Classics and NativeDSD Music Managing Director Jared Sacks. Looking forward to seeing this one in the NativeDSD Music store in the months ahead.

I have gotten to know Marcin because he is a member of the Brecon Baroque Ensemble – an ensemble that Rachel Podger put together. There was no doubt as to his playing abilities within the ensemble so that for me to drive to Poland to record these Bach concertos using one string player per part sounded like a chance worth taking. Having a small ensemble recording for the Bach gave us the opportunity to really hear all the inner parts that otherwise would be lost when large ensembles play these concertos.
