Human 2.0

Human 2.0

From the very beginning, we as humans have developed tools and technologies to improve our way of life. With each century, revolutionary inventions across communication, transportation, documentation, and medical advancements, have altered our perspective on the world and our relationships within human society.

The introduction of the internet and computers has given immense momentum, in which human relationships with technology are becoming increasingly reliant and intertwined. Mobile phones have almost become an extension of our body and with the upcoming developments in virtual and augmented reality, the threshold between the virtual and physical world is rapidly dissolving. This brings about fundamental questions regarding our ethics and morals.
In Colour Thinking we aim to create a reflective experience, exposing a range of perspectives on these matters, asking ourselves: Did evolution finally become humane?

Human 2.0

Human 2.0 is a progressive art-rock band from Rotterdam. The band consists of vocalist/pianist Robin Coops, guitarist/sound artist Eric Magnée, bass player Bernardo D’Addario and drummer Robin Eggers. Together we focus on creating an experience where music and narrative seamlessly intertwine. With our debut album, we want to take the listener on a journey through time, zooming in on the technical innovations that are being made within our society. A continuous and ever changing process that is relevant to our contemporary lives. Think about how our lives changed with the arrival of the internet and how dependent we are of it today. These kinds of technological innovations are of great influence on our way of life and how we communicate with each other. What kind of effect does it have on a human being living in a world where everyone is always online and chained to a screen? Will it still be possible to distinguish the virtual world from the real one in the future? How much freedom of choice will we have, when machines become more intelligent and make all the decisions for us? How will we communicate with this new form of intelligence? And how will all of this influence our ideals and ambitions?

    Music Emotion

How far is the current technology and how much further does it go? When does technology become humane? As a matter of fact, these are rhetorical questions. As long as semi-criminal organizations like Google and Facebook, which are not driven by any moral compass, continue to violate the privacy of world citizens, the human nature of information technology is still far out of sight. Of course, these issues have a modern theme that also inspires modern art. The musical exponent of that has been picked up by Human 2.0, who find leads in big data, the connected world, and singularities known from quantum physics, to play beautiful progressive rock. Anyone who thinks that rock always should sound rough - experiences something completely different here. Highly polished and melodic sounding tracks in the well-known clean and sublime sound quality of TRPTK. That makes it a top album with, among other things, an instrumental track with fine synthesizers in the form of ANI.
