Pure DSD 256 Stereo Album from Veni

Being Your Slave is the 4th album at NativeDSD from singer Veni on the Hunnia label. It follows her earlier releases Escaping Game, The Way and Unfold Live, the latter two being Stereo Pure DSD 256 albums. Being Your Slave is Exclusively Available in the recorded format and bit rate of Pure DSD 256 Stereo at NativeDSD.

My goal was to create a musical fabric that pursues the creative concept of my previous record (Escaping Game 2023), this time involving others as well, collaborating with professional musicians and amateur singers in the form of audience participation. The foundations of the compositions have been created with the intention of self-discovery and self-liberation, holding an intuitive mirror and creating a free space of association. These foundations are again built from sound samples that come from my own sound recording archive and that supplemented with new field recordings.

The sounds used are also the dominant sounds of my identity, however, during selection, I narrowed them down to the ones that currently give the most strength and have the most liberating effect, and to the ones that most support me in experiencing joy. The most important factor was that I feel liberation and joy in every moment of the creation process and that through the activity I encourage myself to experience pleasure according to my own liking as deeply and richly as possible and to practice existing in this state.

My ultimate goal was to put these feelings and experiences into the music and for the album to remind me of this state later on. Let alone that this music should inspire others to discover their liberated and joyful selves while listening to it. The most important authorial intent was to keep my state of enjoying freedom pure and to sublimate it, and accordingly I built the dramaturgy of the musical arcs, note by note, second by second, as meticulously as an artist makes a piece of lace, or as a spider weaves its web.
