The Sound Liaison Signature Series Vol. 1 – One-Mic Recordings brings together ten performances that capture the essence of Sound Liaison’s One-Mic recording philosophy.
Every track was recorded with a single Josephson C700S stereo microphone. Rather than placing microphones around the musicians, we place the musicians around the microphone, creating the balance, depth and stereo image naturally in the room.
What is captured is not a collection of individual instruments assembled later, but one complete performance in one acoustic space — musicians listening, responding and creating together.
Recorded in DXD 352.8kHz and Pure DSD256, these ten selections range from intimate duos to full jazz ensembles and live performances.
