These two professionals come from two utterly different musical cultures, this is what makes their performance so unique and at the same time guarantees the rare quality of their collaboration. Their music mixes Brazilian and European folk music with American jazz sounds coming up with unusual rhythmic and dynamic patterns and being able to convey the sound of both an intimate duo and a complete jazz band in full swing. Excellent singer/guitar player/percussionist Alegre Correa was born in Brazil, however since the 1990s he has lived in Vienna where, in 2003, he received a Hans Koller award which in Austria stands for the title “Musician of the year”. Kornél Horváth is one of the most prominent percussionists in Hungary who, apart from playing the conga and the bongo, is the master of such exotic percussion instruments as the gatodrum, the chekere or the udu.
Alegre Correa – vocals, guitar, cajon
