The Madrid Conservatory String Quartets explores a remarkable and largely forgotten chapter of Spanish chamber music from the first half of the twentieth century. Influences from impressionism, neoclassicism and the Stravinskian legacy coexist with personal voices shaped by figures such as Conrado del Campo, Manuel de Falla and Joaquín Turina, as well as by broader European currents, including Bartók and the early Second Viennese School. Together, these quartets reveal a rich musical landscape in which tradition and innovation engage in constant dialogue.
