Alban Beikircher and the L’ Estro armónico, with the collaboration of British cellist Michael Kevin Jones present a very unique and special recording of the “Vier Grobiane Vorspiel” by the great composer Italo-German, Wolf-Ferrari, in an arrangement by German conductor Lucas Beikircher for strings sextet. Also in this production we include the violin and cello “Duo op.33b” performed on instruments made by famous Bavarian luthier Martin Schleske.
Recorded at the Biliotheksaal of Landesakademie for the young musicians in Ochsenhausen, Munich where the acoustics are supreme this recording of Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari chamber music is a very rare reference of this unfairly underrated XX century composer.
