On Peach Tree Street [Pure DSD]

The new material following the three albums of Voice and Bass – Voice’n Bass (2008), Into the Groove (2013), Black Crow (2021) – is more personal, characterized by the reflection of everyday emotions in the lyrics and music. In addition to seven original compositions, there is a Hungarian folk song and three “standard” songs: Well, you needn’t, Black Bird, Reincarnation of a Lovebird. The music of the album, arranged by Tibor Csuhaj-Barna, consists of these pieces.

The lyrics written by Ágnes Lakatos pay tribute to the joyful and difficult moments of daily life. The emotional, virtuosic singing is built on the colorful bass playing of Tibor Csuhaj-Barna, who, in addition to leading the bass line, pays great attention to exploiting harmonic and rhythmic possibilities, ensuring a “band-like” sound. Their original compositions commemorate the positive and negative experiences they have experienced in everyday life.
