We would like to invite you to the Open Gate Concert, a special open door concert in the heart of Budapest’s Palace District. Recorded Live at Jesuit Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Budapest on July, 25 2024 in Pure DSD Analog DSD 256. Exclusively available in Pure DSD from the Edit Master Source at NativeDSD!Â
This is a truly open door concert, where the sounds of the street can be heard through the doors and the choir’s singing can be heard on the street. Everyone is free to come and go. It is a truly open gatekeeper concert in another sense, where Gregorian, folk and pop choral literature and communal singing can coexist. Please join us.
Vocaal Talent Nederland, the foundation that organizes the National Children’s Choir, the National Boys Choir, the National Mixed Youth Choir, and the National Women’s Youth Choir, has been making a significant contribution to the classical music culture in the Netherlands and beyond for 35 years.
Our choirs have collaborated in over 100 different productions with professional orchestras such as the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, choirs such as the Groot Omroepkoor, Cappella Amsterdam and Netherlands Chamber Choir, and the Dutch National Opera and Ballet, ranging from Bach to Stockhausen.
They have been Artist in Residence at TivoliVredenburg in ’21/’22 and sang for ten consecutive years during the National Remembrance Day on May 4th in the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam. Recently, the National Women’s Youth Choir received the Concertgebouw Award, recognizing years of dedication to the training of young vocal talent.
Vocaal Talent Nederland is also a breeding ground for professional musicians in the Netherlands. Many of our alumni have found their way to conservatories, professional choirs, and orchestras, building successful careers in the music world, grounded in the solid training and experience they gained in the National Choirs. Notable examples include Lucie Horsch, Wishful Singing, Nora Fischer, Sterre Konijn and KOBRA, Rebecca Wise, and Steven van der Linden.
